Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perish the two hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
