Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 he shall roast at a Flaming Fire, 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 On her neck shall be a cord of twisted fibre. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
