Say: I am only a warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer (of all): 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 'Only this has been revealed to me: that I am to give warning plainly and publicly." 70 [For,] lo, thy Sustainer said unto the angels: "Behold, I am about to create a human being out of clay; 71 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My Spirit, then fall down before him prostrate, 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 The Lord said, "Iblis, what prevented you from prostrating before what I have created with My own hands? Was it because of your pride or are you truly exalted?" 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 He said: Then get out of it, for surely you are driven away: 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 Allah said: the truth is, and it is the truth that I speak 84 That I shall fill hell with thee and with such of them as follow thee, together. 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 this is simply an admonition to mankind, 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
