In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
READ in the name of thy Sustainer, who has created 1 He created man from a clot. 2 Recite, and your Lord is the most Generous - 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 Has taught man that which he knew not. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Surely your returning is to your Lord. 8 Did you see him who forbids 9 A votary when he turns to his devotions? 10 Tell me, if he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is on the guidance (of Allah)? 11 Or enjoins piety? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Nay! If he (Abu Jahl) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock, 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So, let him call upon his way! 17 We too shall summon the guards of Hell. 18 No, not at all. Never obey him. But prostrate yourself and become nigh (to your Lord). ۩ 19
