The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 Only the wretch will turn aside, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the present life, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
