He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ He frowned and turned away. 1 Because there came to him the blind man. 2 And what should teach thee? Perchance he would cleanse him, 3 or yet remember, and the Reminder profit him. 4 As for he who is sufficed 5 to him didst thou give thy whole attention, 6 And no blame is on you if he would not purify himself 7 But as to him who came to thee striving earnestly, 8 And is afraid (of Allah and His Punishment), 9 You neglect. 10 By no means (should it be so)! For it is indeed a Message of instruction: 11 For any one who desires to bear it in mind, 12 [It is recorded] in honored sheets, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Cursed is man; how disbelieving is he. 17 From what stuff hath He created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then He causes him to die, and puts him in his grave; 21 Then when He pleases, He will raise him to life again. 22 Indeed, he has not fulfilled that which He has ordered him. 23 Let man, then, consider [the sources of] his food: 24 We let the rain pour down in torrents 25 And We split the earth in clefts, 26 We make the grain grow out of it, 27 grapes, vegetables, 28 and olive trees and date palms 29 and burgeoning enclosed gardens 30 And fruit and grass - 31 for you and for your herds to delight in. 32 But when the deafening cry comes, 33 it will be such a day when a person will run away from his brother, 34 his mother and his father, 35 And from his wife and sons. 36 Everyone on that Day will have affairs to keep him occupied. 37 Some faces on that day will be radiant, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 Some faces on that Day shall be dust-ridden, 40 Dust shall cover them 41 These will be the unbelievers, the wicked. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
