We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
