Have you then seen him who turns his back? 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones). 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
