The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 Then none will be able to deny its occurrence. 2 Abasing (some), exalting (others); 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 and the mountains fragmented 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 Those are they who will be brought nigh 11 In the Gardens of Pleasure, 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 No empty talk will they hear there, nor any call to sin, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 Amid thornless lote-trees, 28 And acacia covered with heaps of bloom, 29 And shade extended 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 Neither limited [to season] nor forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 We have indeed developed these women with an excellent development. 35 And made them virginal, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 for the people of the right hand 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
