The All High (Al-A'alaa)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Highest, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 who will roast in the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 He who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 Although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Indeed this is in the former scriptures. 18 In the Books of Ibrahim and Moosa. 19
