This, (Quran), is certainly the revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 In plain Arabic speech. 195 Its news was also mentioned in the ancient Books. 196 Is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the Israelites know it? 197 And even if We had revealed it to one among the foreigners 198 And he had recited it unto them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused it (the denial of the Quran) to enter the hearts of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, etc.). 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 It shall come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will say: "Can we be respited?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 And then what they were promised comes upon them, 206 what avail will their past enjoyments be to them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 They are not worthy of it, nor have they power. 211 indeed they are debarred from overhearing it. 212 So call not upon another god with Allah, lest you be of those who are punished. 213 And warn your tribe (O Muhammad SAW) of near kindred. 214 Lower thy wing to those who follow thee, being believers; 215 Then if they disobey you say to them: "I am quit of what you do." 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 who sees thee when thou standest 218 And your turning over and over among those who prostrate themselves before Allah. 219 He is the All Hearing, the All Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come to every sinful liar. 222 They listen, but most of them are liars. 223 As for the poets, the erring follow them, 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 preaching what they do not practice. 226 Except those who believe, work righteousness, engage much in the remembrance of Allah, and defend themselves only after they are unjustly attacked. And soon will the unjust assailants know what vicissitudes their affairs will take! 227
True are the words of God the Almighty.
