And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Lo! he is one of our believing slaves. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
