Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And guided them to the Straight Path. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be on Musa and Haroun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And Lot too was one of the Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
