(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
