Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder. 1 When the planets are dispersed, 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What has deceived you away from your Lord, the Most Beneficent? 6 The One Who created you, then moulded you, then made you proper? 7 Shaping you into any form He pleased? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble, recording, 11 who know what you do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 Which they will enter on the Day of Judgment, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
