We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 And We saved them and their people from the great affliction, 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
