The Stars (Al-Najm)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the Star when it setteth, 1 Your comrade erreth not, nor is deceived; 2 Nor does he speak of (his own) desire. 3 It is only an Inspiration that is inspired. 4 something that a very powerful one has imparted to him, 5 One vigorous; and he grew clear to view 6 appearing in the horizon's loftiest part, 7 Then he drew nigh and came down 8 And was at a distance of two bow lengths or nearer. 9 and revealed to God's servant what he revealed. 10 The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. 11 Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad SAW) about what he saw [during the Mi'raj: (Ascent of the Prophet SAW over the seven heavens)]. 12 And certainly he saw him in another descent, 13 by the Lote-Tree of the Boundary 14 near which is Paradise. 15 (This was) when the lote-tree was covered with that which covered it. 16 The sight (of Prophet Muhammad SAW) turned not aside (right or left), nor it transgressed beyond (the) limit (ordained for it). 17 for indeed he saw one of the greatest signs of his Lord. 18 Have you then considered the Lat and the Uzza, 19 and Manat the third, the other? 20 Do sons belong to you and daughters to God? 21 This is an unfair distinction! 22 They are naught but names which you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has not sent for them any authority. They follow naught but conjecture and the low desires which (their) souls incline to; and certainly the guidance has come to them from their Lord. 23 Can the human being have whatever he wishes? 24 To God belong the End and the Beginning. 25
