The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
O you enveloped in your cloak! 1 Arise and warn, 2 Thy Lord magnify 3 Purify your inner self, 4 And keep away from Ar-Rujz (the idols)! 5 And do not through giving seek thyself to gain, 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 It will be a day of distress, 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Let Me alone with him whom I created lonely. 11 And then bestowed upon him ample means, 12 And sons always present by his side, 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 and who still desires more. 15 Never. He is refractory of Our signs. 16 I shall inflict on him hardship, 17 He reflected, and then determined 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Again accursed be he, how evilly did he decide! 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 frowned and scowled; 22 then he retreated, and waxed proud. 23 and said: “This (Qur'an) is merely a sorcery of yore; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a human being!" 25 Soon will I cast him into Hell-Fire! 26 And what will make you realize what hell is? 27 It does not allow to live, and neither leaves [to die,] 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 Over it are nineteen [powers]. 30 And We have set none but angels as guardians of the Fire, and We have fixed their number (19) only as a trial for the disbelievers, in order that the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) may arrive at a certainty [that this Quran is the truth as it agrees with their Books i.e. their number (19) is written in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel)] and the believers may increase in Faith (as this Quran is the truth) and that no doubts may be left for the people of the Scripture and the believers, and that those in whose hearts is a disease (of hypocrisy) and the disbelievers may say: "What Allah intends by this (curious) example?" Thus Allah leads astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none can know the hosts of your Lord but He. And this (Hell) is nothing else than a (warning) reminder to mankind. 31

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
