Believers, help yourselves (in your affairs) through patience and prayer; God is with those who have patience. 153 Do not say that those killed in the Way of Allah are dead, they are alive, although you are unaware. 154 Surely We will try you with something of fear and hunger, and diminution of goods and lives and fruits; yet give thou good tidings unto the patient 155 who, in adversity say: 'We belong to Allah and to Him we shall return' 156 Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided. 157 ۞ Lo! (the mountains) As-Safa and Al-Marwah are among the indications of Allah. It is therefore no sin for him who is on pilgrimage to the House (of Allah) or visiteth it, to go around them (as the pagan custom is). And he who doeth good of his own accord, (for him) lo! Allah is Responsive, Aware. 158 Those who hide the clear verses and the guidance We have sent down after We have clarified them in the Book for the people shall be cursed by Allah and cursed by the cursers, 159 Except those who repent and amend and make manifest (the truth). These it is toward whom I relent. I am the Relenting, the Merciful. 160 Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allah and of the angels and of mankind, combined. 161 They shall be abiders therein, the torment shall not be lightened on them, nor shall they be respited. 162 Your God is One God; there is no god but He, the All-merciful, the All-compassionate. 163
