Verily this is a Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds: 192 The Trustworthy Spirit brought it down. (Angel Jibreel peace be upon him.) 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 In eloquent Arabic. 195 And most surely the same is in the scriptures of the ancients. 196 Is not the fact (that the Israelite scholars already knew about the Quran through their Book) sufficient evidence for the pagans of the truthfulness (of the Quran)? 197 And had We sent it down upon a person other than an Arab, 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 This is how We have made (the habit of) denying embedded in the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the painful torment; 201 that will come upon them [on resurrection,] all of a sudden, without their being aware [of its approach]; 202 and then they will say: 'Shall we be respited' 203 So do they wish to hasten Our punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy (the good things of life) for a few years more, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 (How) that wherewith they were contented naught availeth them? 207 And We did not destroy any town but it had (its) warners, 208 To warn. For We are never unjust. 209 And the devils have not brought the revelation down. 210 for, neither does it suit their ends, nor is it in their power [to impart it to man]: 211 Most surely they are far removed from the hearing of it. 212 (Muhammad), do not worship anything besides God lest you suffer the punishment. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 who sees thee when thou standest [alone,] 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you upon whom the devils descend? 221 They descend on every lying (one who tells lies), sinful person. 222 The devils convey upon them what they heard, but most of them are liars. 223 And the Poets,- It is those straying in Evil, who follow them: 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And that they say what they do not do? - 226 Not so the true believers who do good works and remember God with fervour and defend themselves only after they are wronged. The wrongdoers will soon know how evil a turn their affairs will take. 227
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
