Highly blessed is He, Who, if He wills, could give you much more and better things than what they propose for you: (Not one but) many gardens, beneath which rivers flow; and big castles: 10 They deny the Hour. For those who deny that Hour, We have prepared a blazing fire. 11 When it seeth them from afar, they hear the crackling and the roar thereof. 12 When they are thrown into a narrow space, chained together, they will plead for death. 13 [But they will be told:] "Pray not today for one single extinction, but pray for many extinctions!" 14 (Muhammad), ask them, "Is what you want better or the eternal garden promised to the pious ones as their reward and dwelling? 15 “In it for them is all that they may desire, abiding in it for ever; a promise incumbent upon your Lord, that is prayed for.” 16 And on the day when He will assemble them and all what they worship instead of Allah – then will say to those deities, “Did you mislead my bondmen or did they themselves forget the path?” 17 They shall 'Glory be to Thee! It did not behove us to take unto say, ourselves protectors apart from Thee; but Thou gavest them and their fathers enjoyment of days, until they forgot 18 Thus will your gods deny alI that you are professing today. Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment nor shall get any help from anywhere; and whoso is guilty. of iniquity'' among you, We shall make him taste a severe torment. 19 All the Messengers whom We sent before, certainly, ate food and walked through the streets. We have made some of you (people) a trial for the others. Would you then exercise patience? Your Lord is All-aware. 20
