Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ OH, THE LAYING-BARE of the truth! 1 And what is that indubitable event? 2 And what would make you realize what the sure calamity is! 3 THE LIE gave [the tribes of] Thamud and 'Ad to [all tidings of] that sudden calamity! 4 As for Thamud, they were destroyed by the outburst. 5 And as for A’ad, they were destroyed by a severe thundering windstorm. 6 Which He made to prevail against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you might have seen the people therein prostrate as if they were the trunks of hollow palms. 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 And Firon and those before him and the overthrown cities continuously committed sins. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. 10 [And] behold: when the waters [of Noah's flood] burst beyond all limits, it was We who caused you to be borne [to safety] in that floating ark, 11 so that We might make it an instructive event for you, and retentive ears might preserve its memory. 12 With the first blast of sound from the trumpet, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and crushed with a single blow, 14 Then on that Day shall the (Great) Event befall, 15 And the sky will be rent asunder, for on that Day it will be so frail. 16 On its fringes will be angels, eight of them, bearing their Lord's throne aloft. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he shall say, 'Here, take and read my book! 19 Surely I knew that I shall meet my account. 20 And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, 21 in a lofty Garden 22 The fruits in bunches whereof will be low and near at hand. 23 Such people will be told, "Eat and drink with pleasure as the reward for what you did in the past". 24 And he that will be given his Record in his left hand, will say: "Ah! Would that my Record had not been given to me! 25 And not known my account! 26 O would that it had made an end (of me): 27 My wealth has availed me nothing: 28 and our belief has destroyed us". 29 Lay hold on him, then put a chain on him, 30 then cast him in the Fire, 31 Then, in a chain whereof the length is seventy Cubits, bind him. 32 Verily he was wont not to believe in Allah, the Mighty. 33 Nor did he encourage the feeding of the poor. 34 so today he has no friend here, 35 "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, 36 that none but sinners eat' 37

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
