▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
No! By the moon 32 And the night when it departs, 33 The morning when it is unveiled, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 a warning to humans, 36 To any of you that chooses to go forward (by working righteous deeds), or to remain behind (by commiting sins), 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 In Gardens they will question 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 And we used not to feed the poor; 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 "And we used to belie the Day of Recompense 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 And so, of no benefit to them could be the intercession of any that would intercede for them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
