Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 He asks: "When will be this Day of Resurrection?" 6 But [on that Day], when mortal sight is confounded, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 Man shall say on that day: Whither to fly to? 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Though he puts forth his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Indeed, upon Us is its collection [in your heart] and [to make possible] its recitation. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 It's explanation is upon Us. 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And (other) faces on that day shall be gloomy, 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 and the angels say, "Who will take away his soul, 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
