Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Nay! I swear by the day of resurrection. 1 And by oath of the soul that reproaches itself. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon darkens 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry: Whither to flee! 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 Unto thy Lord is the recourse that day. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay, man will be evidence against himself, 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith. 16 Surely on Us (devolves) the collecting of it and the reciting of it. 17 And so when We recite it, follow its recitation attentively; 18 Then indeed, to explain its details to you is upon Us. 19 No! But you love the immediate 20 And leave alone the Hereafter. 21 On the Day of Judgment some faces will be bright, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 Others will be despondent, 24 dreading some great affliction. 25 But, when (the soul) reaches the collar bone 26 And men say: Where is the wizard (who can save him now)? 27 And he is sure that it is the (hour of) parting 28 And affliction is combined with affliction; 29 unto thy Lord that Day is the drive. 30
