Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
