The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I CALL THE night to witness when it covers over, 1 And by the day as it appears in brightness; 2 By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;- 3 Indeed, your efforts are diverse. 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believed the best matter to be true 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 But as for him who is niggardly, and thinks that he is self-sufficient, 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will facilitate for him the difficult end. 10 nor will his wealth profit him when he falls [into the pit]. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 and to Us belong the Last and the First. 13 Wherefore I have warned you of Fire flaming, 14 Which only the most wretched must endure, 15 who gives the lie to the truth and turns away [from it]. 16 But the God-fearing shall be kept away from it, 17 Who gives his wealth in order to be pure. 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High. 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
God the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
