The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
