The chiefs of Firon's people said: most surely this is an enchanter possessed of knowledge: 109 who wants to drive you out of your land! " [Said Pharaoh:] "What, then, do you advise?" 110 The others suggested holding Moses and his brother off and sending to all the cities 111 And bring up to thee all (our) sorcerers well-versed." 112 The magicians came to the Pharaoh and said, "We must have our reward if we are to gain a victory over him (Moses)". 113 "Yes," said he, "you will be among the honoured." 114 They said: O Moses! Now you shall know! 123 “I swear I will cut off your hands and your feet from alternate sides and then crucify you all.” 124 They said: verily unto our Lord we are turning. 125 "But thou dost wreak thy vengeance on us simply because we believed in the Signs of our Lord when they reached us! Our Lord! pour out on us patience and constancy, and take our souls unto thee as Muslims (who bow to thy will)! 126
