۞ God says: "Do not take to two gods, for there is only one God. So fear Me." 51 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and earth; His is the religion for ever. Then will you fear other than God? 52 Whatsoever the blessings you enjoy are surely from God, and when in trouble you turn to Him in supplication. 53 Yet, when He removes the distress from you, behold! some of you turn to other gods to join with their Lord- 54 (As if) to show their ingratitude for the favours we have bestowed on them! then enjoy (your brief day): but soon will ye know (your folly)! 55 And they (even) assign, to things they do not know, a portion out of that which We have bestowed for their sustenance! By Allah, ye shall certainly be called to account for your false inventions. 56 And they ascribe daughters to Allah, glory be to Him; and for themselves (they would have) what they desire. 57 When any of them is told about the birth of a female his face turns dark, and he is filled with suppressed anger, 58 They try to hide themselves from the people because of the disgrace of such news. Will they keep their new born despite the disgrace or bury it alive? How sinful is their Judgment! 59 Those who believe not in the world to come, theirs is the evil likeness; God's is the loftiest likeness; He is the All-mighty, the All-wise. 60
