T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Ha. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 We have not sent down the Koran upon thee for thee to be unprosperous, 2 but as a reminder to he who fears. 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 The Compassionate on the Throne is established. 5 His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. 8 (Muhammad), have you heard the story of Moses? 9 When he saw the fire, he said to his family, "Wait here for I can see a fire. Perhaps I shall bring you a burning torch or find a way to some fire". 10 When he approached it, a voice called out: 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 "I have chosen thee: listen, then, to the inspiration (sent to thee). 13 "Verily! I am Allah! La ilaha illa Ana (none has the right to be worshipped but I), so worship Me, and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) for My Remembrance. 14 The Hour is coming. But I choose to keep it hidden, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with his labours. 15 "Therefore let not such as believe not therein but follow their own lusts, divert thee therefrom, lest thou perish!".. 16 What is that, Moses, thou hast in thy right hand?' 17 'It is my staff," Moses replied, "upon it I lean and with it I beat down leaves to feed my sheep and for me there are other uses in it' 18 (Allah) said, "Throw it, O Moses!" 19 So he cast it down, and lo! it was a serpent running along. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 "Now draw thy hand close to thy side: It shall come forth white (and shining), without harm (or stain),- as another Sign,- 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go thou to Pharaoh, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." 24
