And We certainly saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment - 30 (We delivered them) from Pharaoh. Lo! he was a tyrant of the wanton ones. 31 We gave preference to the Israelites over the other people with Our knowledge 32 And granted them Signs in which there was a manifest trial 33 [Now,] behold, these [people] say indeed: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Bring back to life our fathers if what you say is true". 36 Are they better, or the people of Tubba? And those who were before them? We destroyed them; they were indeed criminals. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, for mere play, 38 We created them not save in truth; but most of them know it not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 the day a master shall avail nothing a client, and they shall not be helped, 41 except for those to whom God grants mercy. He is Majestic and All-merciful. 42
