(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
