Al-Najm 3 of 3
Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
