The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the inevitable event comes, 1 there is no denying its coming 2 The event will be abasing some, and exalting some. 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 becoming scattered dust, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 8 And there shall be such as will have lost themselves in evil: oh, how [unhappy] will be they who have lost themselves in evil! 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 These are they who are drawn nigh (to Allah), 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations). 14 (They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones), 15 Reclining thereon facing each other. 16 Immortal youths will wait upon them 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated - 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 Like pearls within their shells, 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 Other than "Peace, peace" the salutation. 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 Bananatrees, piled 29 And extended shade, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 undiminished and never denied 33 And couches raised up. 34 Verily We! We have created those maidens by a creation. 35 And made them virgins, 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
