Nay, by the moon, 32 And the night when it departs, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to whoever among you desires to go forward, or lag behind. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 we fed not the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So the intercession of intercessors shall not avail them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
