Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead. 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
