Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
