The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High, 1 Who hath created and then proportioned, 2 Who measureth, then guideth; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 And We will make your way smooth to a state of ease. 8 REMIND, THEN, [others of the truth, regardless of] whether this reminding [would seem to] be of use [or not]: 9 Those who have fear of God will benefit 10 And the most unfortunate one will avoid it, 11 [He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire, 12 In which he will neither die nor live. 13 He who purified himself shall prosper, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 While the hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
