The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in towering columns. 9
