The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages] ranged in serried ranks, 1 and the scarers scaring 2 and the reciters of a Remembrance, 3 Indeed your God is surely only One. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Verily We! We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment: the stars. 6 and to preserve against every rebel Satan; 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 So ask them, are they stronger in constitution, or those whom We have created. We have created them of sticky clay. 11 Yet while you are filled with wonder, they just scoff; 12 and, when reminded, do not remember 13 And, when they see a Sign, turn it to mockery, 14 and say: 'This is nothing but clear sorcery' 15 What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 There will be but a single blast and then their eyes will open. 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 This is the Day of Judgment in which you disbelieved. 21
