And nothing prevented people from believing when the guidance came to them except that they said: What! has Allah raised up a mortal to be an apostle? 94 Say: "If angels had peopled the earth and walked about in peace and quiet, We would surely have sent to them an angel as messenger. 95 Say: "Enough is Allah for a witness between me and you: for He is well acquainted with His servants, and He sees (all things). 96 And he whom Allah guideth, he is led aright; while, as for him whom He sendeth astray, for them thou wilt find no protecting friends beside Him, and We shall assemble them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces, blind, dumb and deaf; their habitation will be hell; whenever it abateth, We increase the flame for them. 97 That is their recompense, because they denied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and said: "When we are bones and fragments, shall we really be raised up as a new creation?" 98 ۞ Do they not perceive that God, who created the heavens and the earth, has the power to create the like of them? There is no doubt that. He has fixed a term for them. Even then the wicked disdain everything but unbelief. 99 Say thou: if it were ye who owned the treasures of the mercy of my Lord, ye would surely refrain for fear of expending; and man is ever miserly. 100
