The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 The piercing star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 but I too plan against them. 16 Give respite to the disbelievers and leave them alone for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
