Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Indeed, they are astonished that a warner should have come to them from among themselves. So these deniers of the truth say, "This is indeed a strange thing, 2 "What! When we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) return far (from our understanding)." 3 We already know how much of them (of their bodies) the earth will consume. With Us there is a Book that contains all records. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 As instruction and reminder to every penitent creature. 8 And We send down from the sky blessed water whereby We give growth unto gardens and the grain of crops, 9 And tall date-palms with their spathes pile on pile 10 as sustenance apportioned to men; and by [all] this We bring dead land to life: [and] even so will be [man's] coming-forth from death. 11 The folk of Noah denied (the truth) before them, and (so did) the dwellers at Ar-Rass and (the tribe of) Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
