Blessed is He Who, if He please, will give you what is better than this, gardens beneath which rivers flow, and He will give you palaces. 10 They deny the Hour of Doom so We have prepared for them a burning fire. 11 When it (Hell) sees them from a far place, they will hear its raging and its roaring. 12 And when they are cast, bound together into a constricted place therein, they will plead for destruction there and then! 13 But they will be told, "Do not call today for one death, call for many deaths!" 14 Ask them: "Is this better or a garden for everlasting abode which has been promised the pious and devout? It would be their guerdon and their destination. 15 Theirs therein shall be all that they wish for, as abiders; a promise from thy Lord to be asked for. 16 On the Day when He gathers them with all that they worship, other than Allah, He will say: 'Was it you who misled My worshipers, or did they themselves go astray' 17 They shall say: Glory be to Thee; it was not beseeming for us that we should take any guardians besides Thee, but Thou didst make them and their fathers to enjoy until they forsook the reminder, and they were a people in perdition, 18 Thus will your gods deny alI that you are professing today. Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment nor shall get any help from anywhere; and whoso is guilty. of iniquity'' among you, We shall make him taste a severe torment. 19 We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! they verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer. 20
