The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 by the promised day, 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Perish the fellows of the ditch, 4 Of the fuel-fed fire, 5 while they themselves sat around it 6 Witnessing what they had done to the believers! 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for the righteously striving believers, they will live in Paradise wherein streams flow. This is the greatest triumph. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Lo! He it is Who produceth, then reproduceth, 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Have you not heard about the stories of the armies 17 Of Pharaoh and the Thamud? 18 Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth. 19 And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds). 20 Nay! it is a glorious Quran, 21 (Inscribed) in a Tablet Preserved! 22
