28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Say, [O Muhammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur'an. 1 It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone. 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And the foolish among us were wont to forge lies against Allah exceedingly. 4 We had in fact thought that men and jinns would never speak a lie about God, 5 But some men used to seek refuge with some jinns, and this increased their waywardness; 6 and they thought, even as you also thought, that God would never raise up anyone. 7 We sought to reach heaven, but found it filled with strong guards and flames -- 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 We do not know whether by this arrangement God intends benefit and guidance for the people of the earth or only evil. 10 And that some of us are good and others of us are below that: we are sects following different ways: 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 Now that we have listened to the guidance, we believe in it. Whoever believes in his Lord does not need to fear loss or oppression. 13 'Amongst us are some that submit their wills (to Allah), and some that swerve from justice. Now those who submit their wills - they have sought out (the path) of right conduct: 14 ‘And as for the unjust – they are the fuel of hell.’” 15 If they had followed the Path We would give to them abundant water to drink, 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 All the parts of the body to be placed on the ground during prostration belong to God. 18 "Yet when the Devotee of Allah stands forth to invoke Him, they just make round him a dense crowd." 19

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
