He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 from a blind man who had come up to him. 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 Or that he might receive admonition, and that the admonition might profit him? 4 Now as for him who believes himself to be self-sufficient 5 Unto him thou attendest. 6 Whereas it is not on thee that he is not cleansed. 7 And he who comes to thee eagerly 8 and in awe of God 9 Him thou neglectest! 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 So whoso wills may give heed to it. 12 upon pages high-honoured, 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 noble and purified. 16 Accursed be man! How stubbornly he denies the Truth. 17 From what has God created him? 18 From a drop of seed. He createth him and proportioneth him, 19 and then makes it easy for him to go through life; 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 and He will resurrect him whenever He wants. 22 No! Man has not yet accomplished what He commanded him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 That We pour down the water, pouring (it) down in abundance, 25 Then We cracked the earth open under pressure (of germination) 26 and thereupon We cause grain to grow out of it, 27 and vines and edible plants, 28 And olives and date-palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and herbage 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 When the trumpet sounds, 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and his father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 For every one of them on that Day shall be business enough to occupy 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust. 40 Dust shall cover them 41 They will be the unbelievers, transgressors. 42
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
