The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Read! In the name of your Lord, who created: 1 He created man from a clot of blood. 2 Recite: and your Lord is Most Generous, 3 who has taught [man] the use of the pen 4 Taught man that which he knew not. 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 because he thinks himself self-sufficient: 7 Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). 8 Have you seen one who prevents 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 Or he commandeth piety? 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Does he not know that Allah does see? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying sinful forelock. 16 Then, let him call upon his council (of helpers), 17 We also shall call the infernal guards. 18 By no means! Obey not thou him. Continue to adore, and continue to draw nigh. ۩ 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.

Notes and Instructions
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
