And now that We replace one message by another - since God is fully aware of what He bestows from on high, step by step - they [who deny the truth] are wont to say: "Thou but inventest it!" Nay, but most of them do not understand it! 101 (Muhammad), say, "The Holy Spirit has brought the Quran from your Lord to you in all truth to strengthen the faith of the believers and to be a guide and glad news for the Muslims". 102 Yet We know what they say: "It is only a man who instructs him." The speech of the man they imply is obscure while this is clear Arabic. 103 Those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah, Allah does not guide them for them is a painful punishment. 104 They only invent falsehood who do not believe in the verses of Allah, and it is those who are the liars. 105 Whoso disbelieves in God, after he has believed -- excepting him who has been compelled, and his heart is still at rest in his belief -- but whosoever's breast is expanded in unbelief, upon them shall rest anger from God, and there awaits them a mighty chastisement; 106 That is because they love the life of this world more than the Hereafter; and Allah does not guide those who are ungrateful to Allah for His favours. 107 They are the ones whose hearts and ears and eyes have been sealed by God; and these are the heedless. 108 Truly it is they, they who in the life to come shall be the losers! 109 ۞ Then indeed your Lord? to those who emigrated, after they were persecuted, and then strove and were patient, surely, your Lord is thereafter Forgiving, the Most Merciful. 110
